Use All Five 2016

Copywriting and strategy for Use All Five (2016, ongoing).

LA-based digital design studio, Use All Five, had plans for a large scale rebrand of their website, which involved evolving and refining their use of language. I came on board to work with co-founder, Levi Brooks, to explore how we could best distill the spirit of the studio into a bold, descriptive tagline and some contextualizing “about us” copy. We focused on the studio’s working model, which emphasized curiosity, flexibility, and dialogue. Proud West Siders, we made sure to reflect on their close proximity to the coast and its unavoidable influence. Since the re-brand, I’ve popped in over the years to assist on a variety of client work.

“When we first started rebranding ourselves, we were struggling to have our copy to effectively communicate who we really were. Erik helped us get our thoughts organized and bring our positioning to life. The new copy even led us to reconsider and redesign our brand for the best. Erik has a special gift for making a complicated subject matter easy to understand and thought-provoking. He’s friendly, down to earth and very easy to work with. After five minutes talking with him, you’ll feel like you’ve been old friends for years. Don’t hesitate to work with him on your project, whether it's big or small.”
