Sitting Suite for Seed 2020

A haiku quartet for Seed’s Story of You educational series (2020).

Is there anything more relatable in our quest to better understand gut health and the microbiome than poop? Seed, a forward-thinking probiotic researcher and manufacturer, was working on a five-part learn-from-home educational series for Instagram Stories. Each chapter would be introduced with a thematic artist commission. For chapter 4, What the F is Gut Health, Anyway?, I was asked to write a short text that offered some levity towards the topic at hand: a great poop. I opted for a suite a haikus, which felt particularly appropriate given their customary focus on hyper-presentness and poetic brevity.

View each chapter in its amazing entirety here.
