Happiness for Art21 Magazine 2015
Pupsie Cola and One Hundred Thousand Glowing Beacons, a commissioned essay for Art21 Magazine (2015).
It was only a few weeks after returning from an artist residency in Santa Fe when friend and arts writer, Alicia Eler, reached out with a proposal. She had been invited by Art21 Magazine to guest edit an issue themed around Happiness. Still reverberating in the warm glow of the Girard Wing at the Museum of International Folk Art, I contributed an impressionistic piece that explored the symptoms and possibilities for the visitor that vibrate within a folk art collection like no other.
